Supply Lists

***NOTE: Please hold off on buying any supplies until you have spoken to your teacher.***

Deerfield Elementary School will provide the necessary supplies for your child to have a quality educational experience. These items will be shared supplies for all students in the classroom. However, you may also choose to assist the school by purchasing supplies for our classroom. All donations are greatly appreciated! 

  • Additional school supplies may be suggested in September and throughout the school year.
  • Each student is encouraged to use a “standard” size backpack to organize/transport their daily snack and folders.
  • Please write your child’s name on their lunch box, the inside of their backpack strap, and ALL clothing they may remove at school.





1st Grade

  • 1 deck of 52 playing cards
  • 24 Ticonderoga Sharpened Pencils
  • 2 boxes of 24 Crayons
  • 4 Pink Pearl Erasers
  • 1 pair of Fiskars scissors
  • 10-12 white glue sticks
  • 1 pack of EXPO dry erase markers
  • 2 boxes of tissue
  • 1-2 canisters of disinfecting wipes
  • 1 box of hand wipes/baby wipes
  • 1 box of Ziploc bags sandwich size
  • 1 box of Ziploc bags gallon size
  • 1 box of Band Aids
  • 2 reams of Xerox paper
  • Twistable Colored Pencils (12 pack)

No Pencil Boxes Please

2nd Grade

Suggested but not required for each student:

  • Backpack without wheels
  • 1 box of felt-tipped markers in assorted colors
  • 1 box of crayons (16 crayons per box)
  • Colored pencils
  • Sharpened pencils
  • 1 supply box (no larger than 8 x 5 inches)
  • 1 scissors (Fiskars seem to work best)
  • Glue sticks
  • 2 thin dry erase markers
  • 1 eraser for dry erase markers
  • Elmer’s white 4 oz. glue bottle

Possible classroom donations to be shared with the entire class:

  • 1 box of ziploc sandwich bags
  • 1-2 canisters of Clorox disinfecting wipes
  • 1 ream of white card stock
  • Rubber 9" ball

Provided by the Teacher for Each Student:

  • Pencils
  • Crayons
  • Erasers
  • Colored washable markers
  • Ruler with centimeters and inches
  • Glue sticks
  • Scissors

However, please have suggested supplies by the following Monday. If possible, please unwrap and write your child’s name with a sharpie on their personal items and place them in the supply box.


3rd Grade

For individual/personal use:

  • Erasers – one or two
  • Colored ballpoint pens – red, blue, purple, or green, one or two
  • 2 Black Sharpies (fine tip, NOT extra fine)
  • 1 box of colored markers in assorted colors – 8-10 markers per pack only
  • (Crayola preferred)
  • 1 box of crayons (Twistables are ok) – 24 crayon pack or smaller only
  • Spiral notebooks - 70 page, wide-ruled.  Two of each color:  red, yellow, blue
  • Highlighters – yellow only!
  • Sharpener with shavings “catcher”
  • 1 scissor (Fiskars seem to work best)
  • Dry erase marker-black, fine-tipped for student use, one or two

For classroom use:

  • 1-inch white view binder
  • Glue sticks (6 pack minimum, Elmers or 3M preferred)  
  • Sharpened pencils (1 dozen) – Ticonderoga only
  • Dry erase markers, any color(s), pack for classroom supply
  • 2 large boxes of tissues
  • Xerox paper, 2 reams
  • 1-2 canisters of baby wipes (NOT Clorox/disinfecting wipes)
  • Ziplock bags:
    • Last name starts A – L  1 box sandwich size
    • Last name starts M – Z  1 box gallon size

*We have very limited space in student desks.  PLEASE NO pencil boxes, no large marker or crayon boxes, no binders (other than the one on the list above) or other large items.

Please write your child’s name on backpack, lunch box, and jackets/sweatshirts.

We also recommend having supplies at home for homework.

4th Grade


Suggested But Not Required For Each Student:

  • 10 Subject Dividers for Binder (the kind you write directly on the tab) *Your teacher will give you further instructions on how to label these. Please don’t label at home!!!!

  • 1” White Binder with Clear View Front (For a Special Notebook)-Uribe only
  • Dry Erase Markers (Black) - Narrow tipped (1 set per student) & Eraser

Organization is a critical part of 6th grade, so please use a system that will work for you!
